Pune, India, September 24, 2018 – Helmut Fischer Group, world leaders in precision instruments, continues its steady growth globally with the addition of a dedicated assembly plant in Pune, India. The FISCHER Assembly Plant was constructed to meet the high demand for the FISCHERSCOPE® GOLDSCOPE SD Series, which is a benchtop gold testing instrument optimized for the precious metals’ industry. The plant will provide German quality products adapted to local requirements.
The state-of-the-art facility is located at India’s biggest IT and industrial hub, Hinjewadi, Phase 1, Pune. The opening ceremony took place on 28 August 2018 with guests including Respected Mayor of PCMC, Mr. Rahul Jadhav, Pune Metal Finishers Association, Hallmarking Association of India along with esteemed industrial leaders from Jewelry, Automobile, Electroplating, Auto-Components and Paint Industries. The FISCHER Assembly Plant will meet growing demand and strengthen its presence in the country in line with the Make in India Initiative. The building is constructed on a total area of approximately 7500 square feet.

The Fischer Assembly Plant is designed in line with Helmut Fischer Group’s vision towards Industry 4.0 manufacturing. This includes connected production systems and digitalization of processes. Also, it employs Kanban methodology with SAP Business ByDesign. The entire plant is Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) compliant and production is strictly controlled to ensure highest quality of the products.
