The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts.
Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.
There are many variations of passages of standard dummy text available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour or randomised words.
When printing and typesetting industry was revolutionized, it was a time when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.
It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets.
Contrary to popular belief, standard dummy text is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over two millennia old.
Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words to discover the undoubtable source of this widely used text.
