Installation instructions for PC-Datex and USB driver

Installation Guide for Excel

You can download the above with the Excel plugin PC-Datex. PC-Datex is used to import measured values โ€‹โ€‹of the FISCHER instruments into Excel.

To install PC-Datex, you need administrator rights. The selection of the PC-Datex program package depends on the Office version installed on your PC.

  • PC-Datex 32BIT-Office for Office 2010 32BIT version and higher, recommended: Office 365 and Windows 10
  • PC-Datex 64BIT-Office for Office 2010 64BIT version and higher, recommended: Office 365 and Windows 10
  1. To download the file, click on the link above of this page and save the file, e.g. in C:\temp.
  2. Unzip the zip file.
  3. Double-click "PcDatex2010_64.msi" or "PcDatex2010_32.msi", depending on whether you have chosen 32bit or 64bit.
    The installation wizard starts and generates a directory:

    a) for 64-bit: C:\Program Files\Helmut Fischer\PcDatex64\
    b) for 32-bit: C:\Program Files(x86)\Helmut Fischer\PcDatex32\

  4. Start Excel.
  5. In Excel, choose File> Options.
    The Excel Options window appears.
  6. Choose Add-ins.
  7. In the window below, choose Manage> Excel Add-ins> Go to ...
    The Add-Ins window appears.
  8. Choose Browse.
    The file selection window Browse appears.
  9. Navigate to the directory depending on whether you have chosen 32bit or 64bit:

    a) for 64-bit: C:\Program Files\Helmut Fischer\PcDatex64\
    b) for 32-bit: C:\Program Files(x86)\Helmut Fischer\PcDatex32\

  10. Select the file with the extension * .xlam and click on Open.
  11. Click OK.

 

USB driver: Download and installation

To install the USB driver, you need administrator rights.

  1. Download the file above and save the file e.g. in C:\temp.
  2. Unzip the zip file.
  3. Double-click CD_Start.exe.
    The installation wizard starts.
  4. Follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
