Exactly 50 years ago to the day, measurement technology specialist Fischer opened its Swiss subsidiary at the Zug site. Since the first of July 1971, Helmut Fischer AG has been supporting customers in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and the Vorarlberg region in solving their measurement tasks - competently, reliably and flexibly. The service portfolio includes consulting, sales and service of measuring instruments for coating thickness measurement and material analysis.
On the first of July 1971, Helmut Fischer AG started its activities in the field of consulting, sales and service of coating thickness gauges for production and quality inspection at the Zug site. The acceptance and relevance of the measuring instruments on the Swiss market as well as the accompanying demand increased rapidly. Thus, after a short time, the steadily growing team moved into a larger company building in Hünenberg.
At the beginning, the portfolio consisted of tactile hand-held measuring instruments for a wide variety of coating thickness measurements. In 1982, this was expanded with the precise X-ray fluorescence measuring instruments - predestined for use in the electroplating industry and far beyond. Finally, the nanoindentation instruments for microhardness measurement of coatings and materials completed the comprehensive range in the field of surface testing.
Over the years, Helmut Fischer AG in Switzerland grew into a company with 30 employees and a distribution network across Europe and as far as Asia. Even though, following the restructuring of the entire Fischer Group of Companies at the beginning of 2018, these international subsidiaries are now serviced directly by the Fischer Group headquarters in Sindelfingen, customers in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and the Vorarlberg region can continue to rely on excellent support from the local Fischer team.
Today, Helmut Fischer AG consists of eleven motivated, excellently trained employees for sales, service, application and administration. The powerful team offers customers a fully comprehensive service package for the optimal solution of measurement tasks in the areas of coating thickness measurement, material analysis and microhardness measurement. In addition to competent consulting, equipment demonstration and sample testing, this also includes repair and maintenance services, rental equipment and contract measurements. Within the scope of customer training on the measuring instruments as well as calibration and recertification of calibration standards and measuring instruments, the specific requirements of the customers are addressed.
