Textiles and toys
Quality assurance with Fischer measurement technology in the textile and toy industry.
Consumer protection plays a central role in the textile and toy industry. Textile fibers such as cotton, silk, polyester or nylon, plastics, electronics components and all other materials must be tested for harmful substances and dermatologically tested before being processed by the manufacturer. Numerous regulations such as the CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008) or special product labels such as the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 set strict limits for harmful substances and thus ensure the safety of products for the end consumer. If a garment is certified with OEKO-TEX®, this is not only an important quality feature, but also often a decisive factor in the customer's decision to buy.
Fischer has developed measurement technology for quality control in textile and toy production that uses non-destructive material analysis to identify harmful substances and thus ensure compliance with quality standards.
